About this course
This forklift operations licensing course enhances your knowledge and experience in line with relevant state, OHS, and national certification requirements. Our purpose-designed training warehouse has four drive-through bays, bulk storage racking, ramp, simulated cool room, and over 1000 square metres of available training space, with area for loading/offloading vehicles and containers. Our forklift fleet represents industry standard; modern Toyota FG42 equal to the best industry has to offer, and dependable Nissan offering valuable training experience on older fleet-type forklifts. Our trainers are all from industry and are required to participate in a rigorous mentoring and developmental training program prior to conducting assessments. Entry requirements
You must have sufficient knowledge of the English language to perform your work safely.
What to bring: Please bring original documentation for proof of identity. Photo ID is mandatory. Wear suitable clothing and footwear. You must wear safety shoes or boots. All course notes and books are supplied.
Course dates and duration
Full-time:
- 4-day course
- 3 day course | For those with some experience operating a forklift; required to complete some pre-course study.
Part-time:
- Tuesday and Thursday nights, 5.30pm-8.30pm.
- Saturday and Sunday, 8am-4.30pm.

Assessment
Assessment comprises theoretical and practical components.

If you successfully complete this course, you receive a statement of attainment, and Notice of Assessment for a licence to perform high risk work. This document permits the holder to operate a forklift for 60 days. You must apply for your licence within the 60 day timeframe or your Notice of Assessment will become invalid, and you will be required to complete the assessment again.
