About this course

Propagate, grow and enjoy kitchen garden plants and ornamentals. This course covers propagation techniques, soil requirements, fertilising and mulching - all you need to gain confidence in your garden.

Learn about plant needs and experience various horticultural facilities such as glasshouses, shade houses and field nursery operations.

This course is linked to three nationally accredited units:

  • RTE2010A Establish horticultural crops
  • RTF2504A Determine basic properties of soil/growing media
  • RTC2026A Undertake propagation activities.
