Where this course may lead

This course prepares you for a career as a photographer across a range of industry contexts including commercial, domestic portrait, media, wedding, illustrative, and institutional photography.

What you learn

You learn about the vocational and business skills you need to become an independent photographer. You develop skills including the provision of media, wedding, and technical photo images. You also learn how to present your work, manage budgets and financial plans, and how to promote your products and services.

Assessment

The level of competency you develop from your training will be assessed using the following methods:

  • Observation, questioning, and practical demonstrations. You are required to create a portfolio and to exhibit your work.

Your teachers will provide you with more information on specific requirements at the start of each unit and will assist with any support you may need.

If you successfully complete this course, you receive an AQF qualification.
