Delivery method and course duration
This course is delivered full-time over three semesters on campus, and part-time over five semesters on campus.
Entry requirements
You must:
- attend a compulsory information session
- undertake a VETASSESS exam
- participate in an interview if you successfully pass the VETASSESS exam
- undergo a national police records check
- undergo a working with children check (Victoria).

You can attend training in nursing numeracy at Wodonga TAFE to prepare for the VETASSESS exam. Please contact Learner Services on 02 6055 6685 to arrange attendance at and payment for this training.
Interview
You need to attend a group interview at Wodonga TAFE after you pass the VETASSESS exam and have been selected as a preferred candidate. You will receive information before the date of the interview.
Assessment
A range of assessment strategies to meet the needs of different learners will be implemented. These may be group-based, work-based, project-based, self-paced, or based on action learning. You must attend face-to-face classes and successfully complete 400 hours of clinical placement.
Outcomes and accreditations
When you have successfully completed this course, you receive an AQF qualification and a statement which lists all units that you have successfully completed. You can then use these results to register with the AHPRA as an Enrolled/Division 2 nurse. You graduate with the ability to administer medications.
