About this course
(Orange Card). This traffic control course is designed for people who may be required to design and inspect new traffic control plans (TCPs). You may be a works supervisor, surveillance officer, road safety auditor, or a project manager.
What you learn
- Explain the requirements of a traffic management plan (TMP)
- Collect all required information about a given road work project to enable the preparation of a TCP
- Design a TCP which meets OHS and legislative requirements
- Inspect and assess non-standard TCPs.
Entry requirements
You must have:
- adequate literacy and analytical skills
- a current 'select and modify traffic control plans (red card)
- a minimum of 12 months experience in selecting and modifying traffic control plans in the workplace.
What to bring
- Please bring original documentation for proof of identity. Photo ID is mandatory.
- Wear suitable clothing and footwear. Safety shoes or boots are preferred).

Outcomes
If you successfully complete this course, you receive a competency card issued by the RTA and valid for 3 years.
