About this course

This pilot operator course is required to be undertaken by those who wish to either apply for, or renew a pilot escort licence through Vic Roads.

What you learn

  • Skills and knowledge required by pilot vehicle operators to control traffic in the vicinity of an oversized vehicle
  • Use prescribed traffic control stop/slow bats
  • Communicate effectively with persons whilst controlling traffic.

What to bring

  • Please bring original documentation for proof of identity. Photo ID is mandatory.
  • Wear suitable clothing and footwear.  For outdoor component it is advisable to bring a hat and/or coat - applicable to weather conditions.
