This course may lead you to find work in a variety of tourism organisations with a specific focus on sales and marketing in the tourism industry.

Job roles may include working as a sales coordinator, sales executive, marketing coordinator, or promotions officer.

What you learn

You learn about developing a promotional stand and promotional materials, coordinating marketing activities, customer service, sales planning, delivering presentations, and gaining product knowledge.

Entry requirements

There are no formal pre-requisites for this qualification. We recommend that you have completed Year 10 as a minimum, or that you enrol as a mature-aged student.

Assessment

The level of competency you develop from your training will be assessed using the following methods:

  • Observation at work, Observation in simulated environment (e.g. at TAFE), Project / assignment / activity, Practical assessment, On-the-job assessment, Interview / oral questioning, Portfolio of your work, Third party (workplace) report, Learning Journal.

Your teachers will provide you with more information on specific requirements at the start of each unit and they will assist with any support you may need.

Outcomes and accreditations

If you successfully complete this course, you receive an AQF qualification.
