Employment opportunities include working as an animator, an interactive media author, a media asset producer, or a web designer.

What you learn

You develop skills and knowledge in a range of areas in the interactive digital industry. You learn about some of today’s most popular media including the internet, 3D animation, electronic games, television, and sound and digital design.

Within this course, you can choose to undertake some subjects at diploma level to complement your studies.

Entry requirements

There are no formal pre-requisites for this qualification. We recommend that you have completed Year 10 as a minimum, or that you enrol as a mature-aged student.

Assessment

The level of competency you develop from your training will be assessed using the following methods:

  • practical, portfolio, and assignment-based assessment tasks as well as self-initiated projects and a practical placement component. If you already work in the industry, you may have the opportunity to be assessed in your workplace.

Your teachers will provide you with more information on specific requirements at the start of each unit and they will assist with any support you may need.

Outcomes and accreditations

If you successfully complete this course, you receive an AQF qualification.
