This course gives you a pathway to employment as a practicing artist or an arts administrator or to further study at Diploma level.

What you learn

You develop creative skills and expertise in contemporary visual art practice. You learn skills in painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, and fibre/textiles.

This course is delivered part-time, over one year.

Start date 24 February 2011 | Finish date 11 November 2011.

Entry requirements

  • You are required to attend an interview with a portfolio of recent art work.
  • You should demonstrate a keen interest and enthusiasm in the visual arts.

Assessment

The level of competency you develop from your training will be assessed using the following methods:

  • Observation, questioning and practical demonstration through portfolio, visual diary.

Your teachers will provide you with more information on specific requirements at the start of each unit and they will assist with any support you may need.

Outcomes and accreditations

On successful completion of this course, you receive an AQF qualification with a statement of results, or a Statement of Attainment if all the units for the certificate have not been achieved.
