Where this course may lead

This course builds on the Certificate II in Holiday Parks and Resorts (SIT20509). You develop the skills you need to promote a range of information and services, enabling you to work in administration or across the operation of a caravan park.

What you learn

You develop your communication and computing skills, occupational health and safety awareness, knowledge of office procedures, and hygiene and cleaning skills. You also learn about:

  • more advanced reception, reservation, and computing skills
  • product knowledge
  • developing your confidence to promote products.

Delivery method and course duration

Course mode This course is self-paced through distance education. You complete your work online, through workbooks, or through recognition of prior learning (RPL).

Entry requirements

We recommend that you have completed Year 10 as a minimum, or that you enrol as a mature-aged student.

Assessment

The level of competency you develop from your training will be assessed using the following methods:

  • All assessments are contained in the workbooks or online and may include case studies, practical simulations, and written assignments. If you are already working in the industry, there is an opportunity for you to be assessed in the workplace.

Your teachers will provide you with more information on specific requirements at the start of each unit and they will assist with any support you may need.

Outcomes and accreditations

If you successfully complete this course, you receive an AQF qualification. Successful completion of this course also gives you a pathway for entry into the Certificate IV in Holiday Parks and Resorts (SIT40809).
