This course will help you develop your employability and work readiness. You will learn about workplace expectations and about local employment options.

You will develop:

  • social and personal skills relevant to participation in the workforce
  • interview skills
  • an understanding of the nature of work
  • knowledge to make informed decisions about vocational pathways and career paths
  • a portfolio to showcase your skills.

Time 9am-3.30pm.

Location This course is delivered on campus at Wodonga TAFE, 87 McKoy Street, West Wodonga.

Entry requirements

Participants should have a genuine desire to seek employment.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course but all participants must attend an interview prior to acceptance into the course.

Assessment

You will be assessed through a combination of written, oral, project and practical assessment methods.

Outcomes and accreditations

This course focuses on preparation for entry into the workforce and the skills to work as a member of a team in the workplace. All participants who successfully complete the course receive a Certificate I in Vocational Preparation. Learners who successfully complete assessed module/s will gain a Statement of Attainment.
