About this course
This course is designed to suit a variety of student groups. It aims to help students develop work and personal skills and to explore options for further study and training.
What you learn
You learn to identify your skills, how you learn best, and how to find out about career and study options.
You create a plan that outlines ‘what’s next for you’ and explore work skills, expectations of employers and your vocational and training options.
Entry requirements
As this course is adapted to suit the needs of different client groups, you need to attend an interview and/or an information session with the course coordinator before your enrolment is accepted. This also helps us to design the course to suit your individual needs.
Course dates and duration
This part-time course is delivered on campus at regular intervals during the year. It runs two days per week, over eight weeks.
Dates Tuesdays and Thursdays 7 February-29 March 2012
Time 9.30am-3pm.
Assessment
The level of competency you develop from your training will be assessed using the following methods:
- Assessment will be conducted through a range of demonstrations and written tasks all completed during class time. If required, students can receive support during their assessments.
Your teachers will provide you with more information on specific requirements at the start of each unit and they will assist with any support you may need.
Outcomes
On successful completion of this course you will receive a Statement of Attainment listing all units.
