Where this course may lead

This qualification enables you to work as a senior manager in any hospitality function area.

Specific job opportunities include working as a food and beverage manager, an area or operations manager, a rooms division manager, an executive housekeeper, a secretary or manager, an executive chef, a café owner/manager, or a motel owner/manager.

Entry requirements

There are no formal pre-requisites for this qualification. We recommend that you have successfully completed the Diploma of Hospitality Management or the Diploma of Hospitality to enrol in on-campus studies for this course.

Assessment

The level of competency you develop from your training will be assessed using the following methods:

  • observation, questioning, case studies, and practical demonstrations, assignments and portfolio.

Your teachers will provide you with more information on specific requirements at the start of each unit and will assist with any support you may need.

If you successfully complete this course, you receive an AQF qualification.
