Where this course may lead

This course provides you with the skills and knowledge you need to work across a broad range of event management areas.

Possible employment opportunities include working as an event manager, a venue manager, a conference manager, or an exhibitions manager.

Delivery method and course duration

Course duration 18 months | Course mode Part-time.

Entry requirements

You must have successfully completed the Diploma of Events, or have coordination or management-level experience gained from working in an events-related field.

Assessment

The level of competency you develop from your training will be assessed using the following methods:

  • Observation at work, Observation in simulated environment (e.g. at TAFE), Project / assignment / activity, Practical assessment, On-the-job assessment, Interview / oral questioning, Portfolio of your work, Third party (workplace) report, Learning Journal.

Your teachers will provide you with more information on specific requirements at the start of each unit and they will assist with any support you may need.

Outcomes and accreditations

If you successfully complete this course, you receive an AQF qualification.
