Student association

The Student Association is the main student body at Wodonga Institute of TAFE. It is funded by a non-academic fee that you pay when you enrol.

The funds support 'O week' activities, student barbeques, student interest clubs, maintenance of the student common room (the Hangar) and the subsidised café at the Hangar, and a food co-op. The fee also supports the student lounge in Building W and many other facilities.

In 2009, a small gym opened at the refurbished Hangar. In addition to student facilities, the Student Association supports students with welfare services, equipment loans, and publications such as the student diary and wall planner.

The Student Association also acts as an advocacy body on behalf of students and, if required, can act on your behalf in an academic hearing or appeal. The Student Association also funds the staff and operational costs of these facilities.

The Student Association runs mentor programs, activities, and the graduation ceremony together with Wodonga Institute.
